Another card for PTI's MIM #64

How could you not love this color scheme that Nichole posted? It's gorgeous! So feminine and flowery and soft.

Color-challenge-5

I also really liked this sketch I pinned from the Got Sketch blog. I tried to post a photo of the sketch but it appears to be locked. So, just visit these links and you'll see the awesome sketch.

The Aqua Mist flower is embossed with clear embossing powder. The Hibiscus Burst flower is stamped with Text Style. I think if I were to do this again (and I just might for my MIL's Mother's Day card.) I would use white ink - no embossing - on the Aqua Mist flower to make it even more subtle. Same with the pink flower. The patterned paper is so soft and the flowers are just a tad much, KWIM? Still lovely, just not as soft as I think it could be.

The patterned paper I snagged yesterday at my LSS and couldn't wait to get home and use it - you could say I was inspired by this color challenge. The PP was already in a chevron so all I had to do was cut it out - easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Hope you like it! :)

Love the card, Jennifer! I agree, I like that color scheme Nichole chose, and the design you came up with is awesome!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. :) Yes, it's been an adjustment, but very exciting. Living in FL my whole life, it is nice to have a fresh start and change too. Hope you enjoyed your Orlando vacation! If you're ever in the DC area, feel free to let me know. :) There are quite a few PTI people here! Alexander's doing well. I'll have to post some more pics on my blog soon. Hope you are doing well! :)
