PTI MIM #65

2012 05 12_6077_edited-1

Hunh. Two weeks in a row that I'm doing a PTI Make It Monday. I wonder if pigs are going to start flying... ;) The gods of time just happen to be smiling on me lately.

This week's challenge was to use paper scraps to make a background. I had come down to my craft room this morning and found these scraps lying right next to my trimmer. My DD had been in here last night making a Mother's Day card and didn't clean up. Lucky for me I liked the scraps.

I pulled out this lovely circle border from Spooky Sweets II and a sentiment from Movers & Shakers and whipped up this card in no time at all.

All the scraps are matted on a Smokey Shadow mat and then layered on top of a Vintage Cream card base. Some of these papers are very old. I'm not sure where the top one came from. The pink/cream floral is an Anna Griffin. The black/white polka dot is PTI. The bookprint is an actual snipped from a vintage book. The chicken wire on cream is a stamp from WMS; I must confess that I made just this one little scrap this morning. Everything else was already on the table.

Thanks for checking in with me. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there.

So pretty! Who'd a thought that such a pretty border would be tucked away in a halloween set? Great choice of patterns and the ribbon detail is just right! Happy Mother's Day!
