PTI - Stamp-A-Faire 2016 - Color Blocking
Another surprise technique! This was outside my comfort zone but I had some time this afternoon and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I just adore how this turned out.
It's hard to tell in the photos but the sentiment is on its own strip and is heat embossed - that little bit of shine is a great match for the mod look of the stamps above it. Both the telephone block and the sentiment strip are popped up on foam tape.
I used a gob of Papertrey Ink inks and the Heart-2-Heart #4 set.
PTI - Stamp-A-Faire Masterpiece Inspirations
I love happy sunflowers so couldn't resist using Laurie's inspiration from Van Gogh's sunflowers.
I used Simple Sunflower and then "watercolored" my stamped image with clean water to give them a watercolor look - love this technique! Used Zigs for the background.
I've had this pineapple (Concord & 9th) sitting on my desk for a couple weeks and decided it would be perfect to try Melissa's inspiration piece from Kimble.
I used Scarlet Jewel Ink on Pure Poppy paper with a gingham background stamp to create the bottom border. I used a small strip of black bitty dot paper on top of the red gingham, and the awesome Tag Sale: Quilted die.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects. Stamp-a-Faire is always a fun day to try new things. Love it! :)
PTI - Stamp-A-Faire 2016 - Gilded in Gold
This project surprised me. I LOVED working with the gold leaf. I wanted to gold-ify everything in sight. ;)
I used the heart from Shaker shapes, the butterfly from Life is Beautiful, and a sentiment from an Ellen Hutson set - isn't it a perfect sentiment for this project? I thought so!
PTI Stamp-A-Faire 2016 - Starry Night
The first project of the day was to try to create a starry night. I was worried halfway through this project because it was looking like a hot mess. But I persevered and I actually really like how it turned out! :) I'm not crazy about my sequin placement - those are always a challenge for me - but it will do.

PTI MIM #250 Masked Background
I'm playing along with this week's Make It Monday #250 at Papertrey Ink. It's all about masked backgrounds this week. I taped off the edges, sponged Distress Ink, then added the sentiment from PTI Choose Joy - I thought it could work for a graduation, right? Then added the strip of black, with white embossed "Graduate" from PTI Paper Clippings: Congratulations.
Thanks for stopping by!
