Happy Saturday! DH and I are going out in a bit to meet some friends for drinks at an outdoor restaurant - it's just too nice of a day to be inside. But, before I do, I want to show you this card I made. Years ago I had a sweater made by the company "One Girl Who." When the sweater was finally at the end of its life I cut off the buttons because I could just see them come to life again on a card or scrapbook page (don't be surprised if you see them again! ;) )

Lucky for me, this week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was buttons. I finally found my chance to use one of these "One Girl Who" buttons!



I also was really inspired by Ashley's MIM video for Papertrey Ink. As soon as I heard her say "try it with stars" I just knew what I wanted to do.

So, I stamped a variety of stars on my card front in four different colors. Some of them got covered with my new Wink of Stella glitter pen. I'm afraid most everything is getting covered with that these days. Totally love it. It satisfies my fun, girly side (glitter!) and my practical side (no mess!). It's a marriage made in heaven. :) I hope you can see it on some of the larger stars below.



And here's one last shot of the card. I think this will make a perfect encouragement card for my 13-year old daughter. Everyone needs a lift every now and then, right?
